Passionate about working with kids & the families who guide and advocate for them… with teens & young adults navigating the complex journey toward independence… with young families and working professionals in the busy trenches, seeking to find balance and purpose in the daily grind… and especially with seniors embarking on their golden years & the caregivers who walk alongside them.

Kim holds safe space for those experiencing difficulties with anxiety & depression, focus & motivation, trauma, abuse, self-harm and complex grief. She utilizes traditional talk-therapy models of CBT, person-centered and solutions-focused therapy, whole-person approaches centered on mindfulness, self-care, and family systems, as well as individualized art and music therapy techniques.

Along with individual and family counseling, Kim facilitates group sessions and discussions on emotional regulation, self-awareness, soul-care, and spiritual direction. Kim’s background includes fifteen years in business consulting and change management in the oil & gas industry, ownership in a family business, and active involvement in her church and community outreach.

Kim partners with clients journeying through issues with anxiety and depression, relationship and family problems, workplace stress and academic issues. She also values working through the healing process related to trauma, abuse, self-harm and complex grief. Her counseling approach is tailored to each individual, stemming from a variety of techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, brief solutions-focused therapy, reality/choice therapy, family systems therapy and non-directive play therapy for children.

Kim is trained in Christian Moore’s Why Try Resilience Program, helping clients to bounce back from life’s challenges and identify tools and techniques to overcome adversity. Additionally, she is a certified Prepare/Enrich counselor, focused on helping couples explore and strengthen their relationships at any stage. And most recently, Kim was trained by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in trauma healing techniques focused on mindfulness and self-care. In addition to individual and family counseling, Kim is available to facilitate group sessions in any of these areas, as well as anger management and parenting skills.

Kim enjoys biking, hiking, travelling and spending time outdoors with her fur-babies, Baylee and Zara. She is an aunt to ten energized littles and is actively involved in community volunteerism and her local church. 

Kim’s ultimate goal is the help her clients find value and strength within themselves to achieve the changes they desire. She values the opportunity to work with clients of all faiths and backgrounds, and is privileged to hear your story and participate in your growth journey.
