As a counselor, David hopes to aid others in overcoming the painful challenges of life using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during the course of the counseling relationship. David’s approach involves providing tools to help clients improve emotional regulation and develop coping strategies for their current living situations.
With couples, David desires to encourage a deeper understanding of a “US” identity using research-based techniques as a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator or SYMBIS Assessment. He also focuses on tools such as those provided by The Gottman Institute and other researchers to dive into intimacy challenges and provide resources to strengthen relationships. David has experience working with couples who are enduring the crisis of extramarital sexual infidelity, or the grief of losing a family member.
Outside of his counseling role, David appreciates the benefits of exercise through biking, hiking. He also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors and has a passion for cooking and baking.
