Kim Sutphen

Practicum Student Counselor

Kim is a Practicum Student Counselor at B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary with experience ministering to young adults, individuals, and couples.  Kim understands that making the step to pursue counseling can be overwhelming and even generate feelings of fear. Kim desires to provide a welcoming, safe space for you to share your story and then work collaboratively with you to reach your goals. There can be so many challenges in relationships with a spouse, family, work, friends, even spiritual relationships. Kim’s approach is integrative and adaptable to your situation, helping you find ways to achieve a healthy, whole life. Kim is passionate about the healing and restoration of relationships.  She has a heart for women of all ages that struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, and the challenges of caregiving.

Kim is actively involved in her church serving as Care and Counsel Coordinator.  In addition to mentoring young women through her church, together with her husband of 28 years, they enjoy walking with young couples preparing for marriage.  While her faith is the foundation of her life and work, she will respect your wishes to incorporate your spirituality as you desire.
