Student Counselor


Kristy is a practicum student at Dallas Theological Seminary with a strong commitment to fostering a warm, supportive, and safe environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and exploring pathways towards growth and healing. She prioritizes building a trusting therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy and respect. While her practice is rooted in a Christian worldview, she honors each client’s preferences regarding the integration of spirituality in the counseling process. Her goal is to walk alongside clients with compassion, offering encouragement and support while affirming the inherent worth and dignity each person has.

Kristy is passionate about working with individual adults and couples, providing a space to process challenges related to relationships, identity, community, faith, career, and life transitions (navigating singleness, dating, engagement, marriage, transition into motherhood, etc.) . She understands the unique joys and difficulties that can come with navigating life and is committed to offering therapeutic support. Her professional experience spans consulting (financial and information technology audit), full-time ministry among young single adults and refugee communities, as well as entrepreneurship.

She draws from, but is not limited to person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution- focused approaches, tailoring her therapeutic work to meet each client's unique needs. Kristy is dedicated to creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported and empowered throughout their journey.

Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and going on walks.
